Dr Sara Chapman graduated from Ohio State University in 1985. After a few years in conventional practice, she noticed that pets with chronic problems often didn’t get any better, and was discouraged with the side effects of many of the conventional treatments. So she began to tailor her treatment to the individual patient, using nutrition, reduced vaccination and fewer big drugs whenever possible.
In 1995, she became interested in homeopathy after her own chronically lame horse responded dramatically to it. While living in England, she graduated from the three-year course of the Homeopathic Professionala Teaching Group (Oxford, UK) in May 2002, and passed the exams to become a Veterinary Member of the Faculty of Homeopathy (VetMFHom – UK) later that year. During 2007-2008, Dr Chapman took the International Association of Veterinary Acupuncture course in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Antonio, and passed her qualifying exam.
Dr Chapman is a member of the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy, the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the National Center for Homeopathy. She is also a member of the British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (UK), the Faculty of Homeopathy (UK), the International Association for Veterinary Homeopathy, and the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.
